Covid-19 Response

For the safety of all members and staff, we've adopted practices outlined by The State of California and the CDC in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  We will continue to monitor Covid-19 developments as well as CDC, State and local recommendations so that we can adjust our practices in the best interests of our members.

We have implemented the following safety features and precautions:

Effective 6/25/22:  MASKS OPTIONAL per updated Alameda County guidelines

• Vaccination Requirement - All members and guests must provide proof of full vaccination.  New members and guests must also present a valid ID.

• Social Distancing - Encouraged but no longer required.  Plexiglass barriers will remain as we monitor the impact of fully reopening.

•  Hand Sanitation - Hand sanitation is required upon entering the gym and provided throughout the gym.

•  Disinfecting - Equipment and surfaces will be disinfected by staff frequently.  As per county guidelines, members are requested to increase the safety of themselves and others by wiping down equipment before and after each use.  Cleaning supplies and disposable disinfecting wipes are provided throughout the gym.

• Towels - Please bring your own workout and/or shower towel as towels will not be provided by Montclair Fitness until the pandemic subsides. (We will revisit this policy after we've had a chance to monitor the impact of fully reopening).

• Water Fountain - Water fountain is to be used for filling bottles only.  Members are asked to bring their own water bottle and to not drink directly from the water fountain.

• Locker Rooms - Showers are currently open (members bring their own towels).  "Step-n-Pull" foot operated door openers have been installed on locker room doors.
